Common areas of injection are cheeks, lips, temples, undereyes and lower face. Fillers are used to combate the signs of aging in the neck and hands as well.

Between 20 – 45 minutes usually.
Most people do not feel pain – pinching and pressure are common however. We utilize numbing to decrease pain sensation when needed.
This depends on the area being treated, age of the patient, integrity of skin and the desired result.
You will see results immediately with most dermal fillers. However most fillers look the best after 2-4 weeks. Depending on the area treated and dermal filler used, results last varying length of times. We will review this with you during consultation.
No downtime except that intense exercise the first 24 hours is discouraged. Bruising and swelling are not common, but can occur – some patients consider this downtime.

The procedure is overall safe, however unwanted outcomes can occur such as bruising and swelling. On very rare occasion, a vascular occlusion can occur. Our Injectors are trained to handle all situations.
Slight bleeding, bruising and swelling are the most common side effects. Bruising resolves usually within 3-7 days based on patient age, skin integrity, and medications patients may be taking. Aspirin and other anti-coagulants as well as over the counter supplements and Ibuprofen increase chances of bleeding and bruising.
